ELEVENPLAY and Rhizomatiks unveiled a new visual experience titled “antiparallel” using Canon’s proprietary MR system “MREAL” at CP+2023.

They simultaneously produced MR content featuring virtual dancers using data captured by 4D Views in real exhibition environments, and VR content utilizing high-resolution footage of dancers shot against a green screen with the EOS VR system.

The concept “antiparallel” embodies the exploration of a new form of expression that arises in a world where both realms diverge, rather than aiming for a parallel relationship between the real and the virtual like a digital twin. (Daito Manabe)
